Hi Julia! I love how misty and blended your watercolors are. The paper I use is 100% cotton but the paint never ends up looking like yours. I see that you list several different papers in your supplies. Which do yours most often to get this effect? The Arches? I haven't tried it yet because of the cost but maybe will if I can get that effect. Thanks so much.

Art isn’t supposed to be perfect! I love that you are human and you showed us how to cope with your ‘mistake’ but quite honestly I love having one thicker tree. It gives it balance! Do NOT apologize and ignore your critics!

Another painter suggested first wetting the entire back before the front, to get the paper to stay wet longer and not buckle as much. I haven’t actually tried it yet.

I love your misty painting and wanted to say don’t be so hard on yourself. It is the nature of watercolor to have a mind of it’s own. The surprises is why we we love it.

What fun! I'm glad that you turned it into an eclipse. It was 84% here in Virginia Beach. My son got to see it at 100% . He still lives in NH and drove up to see it. Traffic coming back was slow and bumper to bumper. I hope you got to see it as well, whatever the percentage.
